Trump’s Critique of Zelensky and Push for Ukraine-Russia Peace Deal

Trump and his admin­is­tra­tion dis­trust Ukraine’s Pres­i­dent Zelen­sky, accus­ing him of pro­long­ing the war with Rus­sia to secure more weapons, par­tic­u­lar­ly after dis­miss­ing Ukraine’s request to buy Patri­ot mis­siles. Trump blames Zelen­sky, Putin, and Biden for mil­lions of deaths, crit­i­ciz­ing Zelen­sky for chal­leng­ing Russia—a major nuclear power—while under mar­tial law and avoid­ing peace talks. Mil­lions died because of 3 peo­ple. Trump says, “You don’t start a war with some­one 20 times your size then hope peo­ple give you more mis­siles.” Zelen­sky is always look­ing to pur­chase mis­siles –Trump dis­miss­es Ukraine’s request to buy Patri­ot mis­siles. Ukraine did have an enor­mous amount of nuclear weapons but dur­ing the denu­cleariza­tion of the world, Ukraine no longer has nukes. Every­time you talk about nego­ti­a­tions with Rus­sia, you have to remem­ber that they are the largest nuclear pow­er in the world. Zelen­sky shuns talks with Rus­sia. Witkoff says Putin is open to a per­ma­nent peace deal with Ukraine. Zelen­sky has declared mar­tial law going against the largest nuclear arse­nal in the world. Part of the peace deal with Putin is to get rid of Zelen­sky.
