Trump’s Policy Push: University Funding, Tariffs, Cartels, and Antitrust Battles

The Trump admin­is­tra­tion is freez­ing $2.2 bil­lion in fed­er­al fund­ing to Har­vard for resist­ing demands to dis­man­tle DEI pro­grams, audit view­points, reform admis­sions, change lead­er­ship, ban protest masks, address anti-Semi­tism, and ensure tax­pay­er funds don’t sup­port racial dis­crim­i­na­tion. These require­ments apply to all fed­er­al­ly fund­ed uni­ver­si­ties. Harvard’s defi­ance is framed as selec­tive free speech, with the media accused of sym­pa­thiz­ing with the uni­ver­si­ty. Trump also plans tar­iffs on phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal and chip imports to boost U.S. pro­duc­tion, exempt­ing phones and elec­tron­ics, while giv­ing com­pa­nies time to relo­cate man­u­fac­tur­ing. An exec­u­tive order des­ig­nat­ing car­tels as for­eign ter­ror­ist orga­ni­za­tions shifts engage­ment rules, with courts unable to inter­vene in for­eign pol­i­cy. The “Mary­land man,” an MS-13 gang mem­ber, will not return to the U.S. Mean­while, Zucker­berg defends Meta in an antitrust law­suit over Insta­gram and What­sApp acqui­si­tions.

Fed­er­al offi­cials said they would freeze the mon­ey after Har­vard said it would not sub­mit to requests to over­haul hir­ing and report inter­na­tion­al stu­dents who break rules. Har­vard is push­ing back on the Trump admin­is­tra­tion. It is all Free­dom of Speech until you are pray­ing out­side an abor­tion clin­ic then you go to prison. The media is cry­ing for Har­vard.

• These are the same demands for all the uni­ver­si­ties that receive fed­er­al funds. 
• Trump vows tar­iffs on phar­ma imports. Trump moves to put new tar­iffs on com­put­er chips and drugs. We do not man­u­fac­ture med­i­cine in this coun­try. What Trump is doing is bal­anc­ing the time between being able to pro­vide our own chips and med­ica­tion ver­sus import­ing it. He is very seri­ous about phar­ma­ceu­ti­cals and com­put­er chips giv­ing them time to move pro­duc­tion to the US before the tar­iffs will be placed in full swing. Trump exempts phones, com­put­ers and oth­er elec­tron­ics from rec­i­p­ro­cal tar­iffs. We have to rein­vest and re-indus­tri­al­ize our coun­ty. 
• Imme­di­ate­ly we must stop the Chi­na owned land in this coun­try. 
• The glob­al mon­e­tary shift is tak­ing place. Pre­dict slow­down or reces­sion in next 6 months. The Trump admin­is­tra­tion takes for­mal steps toward tar­iffs on chips and pre­scrip­tion drugs. 
• As soon as Trump signed the exec­u­tive order to name the car­tels as a for­eign ter­ror­ist orga­ni­za­tion it changed the rules of engage­ment.
