Muscogee County’s recent roundtable discussions exposed deep rifts within the Georgia GOP, with Chairman Josh McKoon facing intense scrutiny. McKoon’s alleged deal with Kandiss Taylor, who sparked controversy by initiating the removal of First Vice Chair BKP, has backfired. Taylor, upset over a poll placing her third in the First District despite her name recognition, is seen as a liability. If Jim Kingston enters the race, his family’s electoral prowess could shift dynamics, but McKoon’s lack of a 2026 plan threatens GOP success. The NRCC is unlikely to fund Georgia’s races, focusing instead on nine Democrat-flipped districts from 2024, leaving Georgia’s Second District—where Chuck Hand should have defeated Sanford Bishop—an unlikely success. McKoon’s claim that Georgia hasn’t won a federal election in eight years ignores Trump’s 2020 victory and David Perdue’s contested loss. Financially, the GA GOP struggles, raising only $17,000 for the indictees in the first 3 months of McKoon taking office. Grassroots tensions escalate as Amy Kremer demands transparency on GOP finances, while Salleigh Grubbs pushes to rewrite rules to curb MAGA influence. McKoon’s leadership, accused of sidelining grassroots and favoring establishment control, risks alienating delegates and jeopardizing the party’s 2026 prospects.

  • Muscogee county had round table discussions with the candidates.
  • Josh McKoon is in a terrible mess. Whoever wins Chairman they have a terrible mess in the first district because Josh made a deal with Kandiss Taylor. Kandiss Taylor is the one that submitted the complaint on BKP to start the removal process as first vice chair from the GA GOP. Kandiss is mad that a poll went out because she has name recognition and they put Kandiss at number 3 and that made her mad. If Jim Kingston gets in the race, the Kingston family knows how to run in the district and get elected.
  • Josh McKoon does not have a plan for 2026. There are nine districts that have flipped in 2024 that the democrats are working to win back, none of them are in Georgia. Josh cannot sit down and be honest with you. He has created a mess in Georgia. In DC is the NRCC decides where the money goes for congressional districts. They will not put the money in GA because they will try to save the 9 seats in democrat areas. WE cannot win with Josh McKoon because he can’t put together a plan. If Kandiss Taylor is on the ballot in the general election, democrats will pour money into it and make it a national race and bleed it over to other races. With Kandiss Taylor on the ballot republicans don’t want to spend the money to defend the district. Kandiss did what she was asked to do and threw the grassroots under the bus. And now they are working behind the scenes to get another candidate and Josh knows it. They are trying to get someone in the primary to make it a safe district.
  • Now the second district. The distinct we could flip. We had a candidate last time. Chuck Hand could have beat Sanford Bishop last time. But we went for the white white guy that didn’t even live in the district. Republican money will not come into Georgia from the RNC and NRCC when they will have to invest all their money in the 9 districts. As soon as candidates see they can’t raise the money from DC and wait until Josh doesn’t pick up the phone in the second district. Josh is just campaigning and he doesn’t have a plan.
  • Josh said that we haven’t won a federal statewide election in eight years. WE won in 2020. Donald Trump won Georgia in 2020 and many of us feel that David Purdue won also in 2020. Josh McKoon needs to turn in the endorsement by Donald Trump.
  • Trump force 47 were volunteers that came from out of state and were paid by Trump. The GA GOP did not raise the money that was used to run Trump Force 47. And the people did not come out to vote for the republican party, they came to vote for Donald Trump. Josh McKoon did not raise $23M because the RNC flushed the GA GOP with cash. At the first state committee meeting at the Perry fish fry, the money that was raised in the first 3 months for the electors was only $17k. The GA GOP website was not updated with the chair and did not function as a way to donate with no plan to raise money. There could have been a national campaign. 2026 will not come with the money that was infused in 2024.
  • Josh McKoon has never come to the table and worked with others. They are trying to put together to keep the establishment in leadership of the GA GOP. They are going to take notice and inventory of everyone that does not submit, they will remove you from the party. Salleigh Grubbs thinks they need to rewrite the rules to de-MAGA-fy Georgia. They want to keep the top establishment and not allow the new crew to enter the GOP. They have to end the cycle of you having contact with the delegates. They have to change the requirements, they did everything they could to not qualify Lisa Pierce and Kylie Kremer. They want to stop the grassroots to be empowered. You are nothing more than the money and the people that put out the signs.
  • Amy Kremer has been in politics for a while. She had a bus tour across America and ended up in DC. Amy Kremer ran for GA GOP state committee woman. The delegates voted her in. Amy Kremer is part of the executive committee and is asking for information regarding the GA GOP finances. Amy just came back from an RNC meeting, she was probably asked at the RNC meeting a question or two.
  • The continuity committee is to never allow the grassroots from elevating in the party. That is why you will hear Salleigh Grubbs say the rules need to be rewritten.
