Are the Taliban Holding Americans Hostage at the Airport in Afghanistan?

Reports over the week­end indi­cate that the Tal­iban are hold­ing up flights from leav­ing Afghanistan because cer­tain indi­vid­u­als in the group do not have the prop­er doc­u­ments to leave. While some in the groups do have the prop­er doc­u­ments, they are still being held by the Tal­iban. Is the State Depart­ment cov­er­ing up a hostage situation?
