When Mike Johnson became speaker of the house, MTG wanted to vacate the seat and she got Thomas Massie to help her. Trump calls Johnson down to MAL. They make a deal. Johnson was unanimously picked to return as speaker of the house yesterday. MTG was called to MAL to be told to shut up. Trump addressed the conference to get behind Johnson.
- John Thune’s job is now Senate Majority Leader. He is not MAGA and does not like Trump. Trump brings a guy with a suitcase full of money and Thune has to deal with it. Will he push the cabinet nominees through? Thune acknowledges Trump’s mandate. Trump can adjourn Congress. Trump is not playing games this time, he will get his choices in the cabinet.
