We have to ask Don­ald Trump what’s up with Mike John­son. The CR was all set up as polit­i­cal the­ater. The media has their dai­ly script, the democ­rats and repub­li­cans have the good guy bad guy scripts.
  • The CR, the shut­down we have to thank Elon Musk and Vivek. Mike John­son was just togeth­er with Trump on Sat­ur­day. Elon took this to task first, then Vivek and then Trump.  Trump wants to raise the debt ceil­ing and this CR scrubbed or you will be pri­maried. This time they have the mon­ey with Elon, the rich­est man in the world. A pri­ma­ry chal­lenger can win if they are well fund­ed. A clean CR is not what we need right now, it will not revert back to pre-COVID spend­ing. There are a lot of peo­ple ask­ing what is Elon’s role? WE have to cut spend­ing in this coun­try, we have to expose it. Elon is #1 as the guy with the most influ­ence in the coun­try. We are all for him work­ing to stop all the spend­ing, but you have to ask what is his role? 
  • A deal is a deal says Hakeem Jef­fries. The democ­rats are upset. We still have office build­ings, gov­ern­ment build­ings that are emp­ty. We are pay­ing gov­ern­ment employ­ees to stay home. 
  • Shut the gov­ern­ment down. 
  • We knew the stop-gap was com­ing in Decem­ber. We know that John­son will not have the sup­port he needs from either side of the aisle to do what he wants to do… Now we move to Jan 3rd. All the elec­toral col­lege votes have been sent to Con­gress. Jan 3rd is when the new con­gress is sworn in, will we have a speak­er? Will there be a move­ment to vacate the seat? Is there a require­ment for a speak­er to be in place on Jan 6th when we cast the votes for Don­ald Trump? 
  • Remem­ber when we were going to get the 12 appro­pri­a­tion bills, not a cram­nibus omnibus. Thomas Masse is emerg­ing as a top DOGE play­er. Vivek vis­it­ed Thomas Massie and won­dered what they were work­ing on. Yes­ter­day Thomas Massie is on record say­ing that it would be a Christ­mas mir­a­cle to vote for him to vote for Mike John­son as speak­er, then gets a vis­it by Vivek. 
  • Rand Paul was the first one to tweet that the Speak­er of the House need not be a mem­ber of Con­gress. You do not have to be a mem­ber of Con­gress to be speak­er of the house accord­ing to the con­sti­tu­tion. “Noth­ing would dis­rupt the swamp more than elect­ing Elon Musk..”
  • BKP does not like Bri­an Kemp. Mar­ty and Bri­an Kemp are at the Army Navy game and will­ing to bet they were not in the same box with Don­ald Trump. Bri­an Kemp tweets out about the CR, say­ing it was not a per­fect CR but it was vital dis­as­ter relief fund­ing for GA. It has stopped his pho­to ops with checks in his hand… he wants it passed so he will look good?
