Trump’s DOGE Targets Waste as Republicans Face the Swamp

His­tor­i­cal­ly, Repub­li­cans have sought to curb gov­ern­ment waste, fraud, and abuse with­out touch­ing Social Secu­ri­ty, Medicare, or mil­i­tary spend­ing, rely­ing on inspec­tor gen­er­als and com­mit­tees. How­ev­er, lack­ing a clear bud­get and oper­at­ing on con­tin­u­ing res­o­lu­tions, the gov­ern­ment now faces Trump’s DOGE (Depart­ment of Gov­ern­ment Effi­cien­cy) ini­tia­tive, uncov­er­ing bil­lions in mis­al­lo­cat­ed funds—e.g., $2 bil­lion linked to a Stacey Abrams group. Defense Sec­re­tary nom­i­nee Pete Hegseth has ordered an 8% Pen­ta­gon bud­get cut to realign pri­or­i­ties, while Trump’s “Amer­i­ca First” pol­i­cy sees Mar­co Rubio telling Europe to fend for itself amid domes­tic crises like bor­der secu­ri­ty.

• Through­out his­to­ry the repub­li­cans want to find the waste fraud and abuse but don’t touch social secu­ri­ty, medicare or mil­i­tary spend­ing. And they want to tell you that there are inspec­tor gen­er­als and com­mit­tees that will over­see the spend­ing, and we don’t have a clear bud­get. The fed­er­al gov­ern­ment has been work­ing off these con­tin­ued res­o­lu­tions. We final­ly have some­one to look at the waste fraud and abuse through­out the gov­ern­ment spend­ing and every­one is freak­ing out. The things they are find­ing now, repub­li­cans are jump­ing on this side as though they are just shocked, they are not shocked, they are part of the swamp. The media wants to tell you that they are already allo­cat­ed in the bud­get. Hegseth orders major Pen­ta­gon spend­ing cuts, direct­ing Pen­ta­gon agen­cies and the mil­i­tary to cut their bud­gets by 8 per­cent as part of a realign­ment of defense spend­ing to address pri­or­i­ties of Pres­i­dent Trump. 
• Trump’s first act was Amer­i­ca First! Mar­co Rubio was sent to Europe to tell them they are on their own. We have a mess at home on our bor­der and oth­er issues that need to be addressed. We final­ly have some­one that will elim­i­nate the fraud. 
• DOGE finds $2B in tax­pay­er funds ear­marked for Stacey Abrams linked group. This is not all Stacey’s fault, repub­li­cans know this. 
• Delta offered $30K to pas­sen­gers who were on a plane that crashed and land­ed in Toron­to.
