“Georgia Crossover Day Chaos: 75 Bills, Colton Moore’s Fight, and Banking Lobby Power” unpacks the wild events of Georgia’s legislative Crossover Day on March 6, 2025. Dive into the record-breaking passage of 75 bills in a single day—raising questions about how lawmakers could possibly read them all, hinting at top-down voting control. State Senator Colton Moore’s clash with Speaker Jon Burns takes center stage as Moore seeks a warrant for Keith Williams and subpoenas Burns, Chuck Efstration, and Terry England after being blocked from the House chamber. Could this spark a massive settlement? Meanwhile, SB57, aimed at stopping debanking, failed due to banking lobby pressure on Senate Pro Temp John Kennedy. As bills shuffle between chambers, this episode, aired March 7, 2025, breaks down the power plays and what’s next by Monday.

  • Yesterday was crossover day in Georgia.
  • We all remember when Senator Colton Moore attempted to enter the House chamber when Kemp was giving the State of the State address. Speaker Jon Burns stopped Colton Moore at the door. State Senator Colton Moore has gone to the courts for a warrant application for Keith Williams. Speaker Jon Burns, Chuck Efstration, and Terry England have been subpoenaed for this attack. The argument can be made that this was done at the capital and the capital has its own jurisdiction. Fulton County will probably not have jurisdiction. This may be leverage for a large settlement for Colton Moore.
  • The House passed 75 bills just yesterday, a record. You cannot pass 75 bills unless the majority of the state house representatives are told how to vote. You can’t read the 75 bills in one day. SB57 failed, the people were trying to get it passed, it was debanking. The banking lobbyist got to senate pro temp Kennedy, he led the way in killing the bill.
  • This is where the chambers will modify, change bills and push to the originating chamber. Come Monday morning we have to know what is what.
