This podcast highlights recent shifts in Georgia’s Republican Party, praising Union County for a complete leadership overhaul and Cherokee County for overcoming challenges with a promising new chair, noting their strong Trump support in past elections. It raises urgent action alerts: HB268, framed as a school safety bill but criticized as a “student control” measure threatening private and homeschooling autonomy, urging listeners to contact Senate leaders to oppose it; and SB144, a pesticide bill passed by both chambers, now needing Governor Kemp’s veto. The episode also critiques Georgia’s spending, which exceeds inflation rates, and notes the rapid passage of 75 bills on Crossover Day, questioning legislative priorities.

  • Shout out to the Union County Republican party; they have switched everyone out from the chair all the way down. The Cherokee County Republican party has had some bumps in the road but there are some exciting things to be expected from the new chair. The people of Cherokee county knocked doors in the previous election and brought the ticket for Trump. The Cherokee convention was very republican and exciting to see. Video to come tomorrow.
  • We have some action alerts. We need action on HB268. It is under the guise of school safety, but it should be labeled as a student control bill. It is a bad bill. You have to call your senate leaders to say no. It is a backdoor into private and homeschooling resulting in government control.
  • This is where we are at SB144. It has been passed by the Senate and the House. We cannot allow our farmers to use these pesticides. It is being sent to the governor’s desk. Need to call Governor Kemp to veto. When it comes to the election who will be the loudest? Moms or Farmers. Attention everyone! We need to prevent ChemChina and Bayer from stealing our ability to sue if we get sick from pesticide toxicity. Farmers are saying they can’t be productive and profitable with this pesticide. This is not the same as alcohol and tobacco products. There are certain things that are government overreach. The people aren’t growing the food but when the food is being purchased we shouldn’t have to worry if it has any harmful effects to our health. The farmer sees the warning not the mom purchasing the food. Burt Jones supported SB144. In the senate it doesn’t come to the floor for a vote if the Lt governor doesn’t give it the green light.
  • Keep in mind the GA State House passed 75 bills on one day Crossover day. You didn’t realize that you were missing that many laws in your life. This is not counting the bills that they had already passed.
  • Georgia Spending vs Inflation. The rate of spending for GA surpasses the inflation. If we increase spending with rate of inflation we would be below $30B instead we are at $38B
