DOGE the GA GOP: Reforming Georgia’s Party and Policies

Gov­er­nor Kemp’s salary jumps 37% to $250K, match­ing NY’s Hochul, with rais­es extend­ing to judges and statewide offi­cials (up to $200K), spark­ing debate over wide­spread pay hikes. The focus is on reform­ing both par­ty and pol­i­cy to pri­or­i­tize cit­i­zens.

• We are in the final days of the GA leg­isla­tive ses­sion, it ends next Fri­day. 
• Bill restrict­ing puber­ty block­ers for trans­gen­der youth in GA advances. Take a look at your health­care cov­er­age for state employ­ees cov­ered trans­gen­der care thanks to Chris Carr. Even after this bill you can still pre­scribe puber­ty block­ers to minors. If you leave this in the bill you open the door for more. 
• GA elec­tion bills hur­tle toward pas­sage after par­ty line votes. GOP leg­is­la­tors backed away from one of their most con­tentious pro­pos­als which would have required a head count of bal­lots on elec­tion night. The pro­vi­sion no longer appears in either bill fol­low­ing oppo­si­tion from coun­ty elec­tion direc­tors. IN the 2 elec­tion bills ban­ning absen­tee bal­lot drop off the week­end before elec­tion day, pro­hibit­ing last minute state elec­tion board rules and with­draw­ing the state from vot­er reg­is­tra­tion accu­ra­cy orga­ni­za­tion, ERIC. ERIC has been in oper­a­tion for 5 years and why has it tak­en this long to remove the vot­ers. And they will not tell you how many states have removed them­selves from the ERIC sys­tem. 
• Kemp gets a 37% raise, he is now tied with NY gov­er­nor Hochul. The bill also increas­es the pay for oth­er Geor­gia offi­cials. If the gov­er­nor gets a raise it will raise the salary of every elect­ed offi­cial. It is not just the gov­er­nor. The bill also changes the pay struc­ture of judges. It would also increase the oth­er statewide elect­ed offi­cials to $200K. Every­one is get­ting a raise.
