- Sine Die is Friday and the end of the 2025 legislative session at midnight where they can not do any more harm to the people of Georgia and the swamp dissipates. There are election bills in the mix.
- Jon Ossoff is running for Senate. He is saying that MTG doesn’t have the guts to run for Senate. Now she will yell about the corruption nationwide but when it comes to GA when was the last time she pointed any of its corruption out.
- Saturday morning will kick off campaign 2026 in Georgia. We have one US Senator, all constitutional offices, all state senate and state house, not to mention the local races.
- Ossoff went after Ratcliffe so he could make the headlines last week. He is getting a jumpstart in the media before republicans get in the race. Republicans will jump in as early as next week.
- Brad Raffensperger is very upset because we are going to remove the state from ERIC and there is going to be more control in the State Election Board. We are still trying to get paper ballots through the finish line. The GA General Assembly is working fast to get the election overhaul bill through before Sine Die. Right now the county election offices are basically run by the Secretary of State and no communication with the State Election Board. GA bill gives power to State Election Board and enacts its rules. The Secretary of State office is angry.
- There is nothing about school safety in HB268.
- Transgender Georgians, republican lawmakers have held on to bills regulating transgender people until the final week of the legislative session. SB39 would ban the state health benefits plan and medicaid from covering gender-affirming care for state employees and their family members. The bill was approved by a house committee last week, but it is expected to go back to committee Monday to be amended. A house committee approved SB30 last week. The bill establishes guidelines that must be met by physicians, mental health professionals and parents before transgender minors could receive puberty blocking medications to aid in their transition. They are going to put a section in there that before a physician can prescribe puberty blockers parents have to be notified. Here is what will happen, a child will go into a counselor confused, the parent will be called in and given the fear tactics to approve the transition. Don’t be fooled by what they are doing.
- Kemp is sounding awfully MAGA. He has gotten the big truck out. GA law enforcement makes biggest fentanyl bust in state history. Looks like Chris Carr is going MAGA as well. Although, he did not fight to stop the taxpayer funding gender transition for GA state employees.
