The “hard realities” with Trump’s tariffs, arguing they’re essential to force global markets to accept U.S. products, though many products won’t meet foreign standards due to lax U.S. regulations on food toxins and pesticides. Trump’s tariffs are a way to boost manufacturing and middle-class jobs, countering limited opportunities that push kids to the streets. Trump’s executive order closes the “de minimis” loophole, ending duty-free imports under $800 exploited by Shein and Temu, prompting China to decry trade protectionism and threaten retaliation. The U.S., long a global financial backstop, faces a trade war, but Trump holds leverage, including a direct line to Xi, to negotiate peace. Media predicted a price hike and recession odds jumping to 50%, despite a previously reported stable economy. Critics, disconnected from daily economics, are accused of fearmongering.

  • There are going to be some hard realities on the tariffs. You do this or it is game over. The markets around the world are going to open up to our products. What you will find out is that our products will not meet their standards. We allow things in our food that poisons us and our children. Many countries do not allow the poisons in our food and the pesticides on our vegetables. Made in USA will come with hard realities. We allow the poor quality of products made in Cambodia. WE have to tear off the bandaid and just do it.
  • What Donald Trump is saying is that if we bring all this manufacturing to the US your kid will have a job. Not everyone can go to medical school, law school, or even go to college. We go from the top to the bottom and the middle class is small. We need to boost our middle class. Now our choices are limited for the kids and they get out there on the streets. The media can only report on how bad it will be and tax. The executive order closes the “de minimis” loophole, the century-old trade law imports under $800 enter duty free as long as they are shipping to buyers. China slams US tariffs as trade protectionism. China and Europe vow stiff response to Trump’s tariffs. Trump ends the China tariff loophole used by Shein and Temu. allowed cheap goods to enter the country without tariffs.
  • The US has been paying most of the bills around the world since WWII, but the EU is uniting to warn US of countermeasures as trade war heats up. Trump is playing so many cards. Trump has a full deck. China has economic issues that they are dealing with, we aren’t fully abreast of their issues because they keep things under wraps. But they don’t need these tariffs. They have manipulated the US tariffs. Trump has a card, he can call President Xi. We aren’t afraid of China. This tariff is an important card to bring peace. The China Loophole has been closed.
  • Avoid the tariffs and buy American products.
  • What they are telling us is that the dryer could cost $67 more dollars. They are telling you what the price will increase on cars. They are worried that vehicles are going to go up $2500. Companies don’t make work trucks anymore.
  • On monday the chance of recession was at 20%, on tuesday it was at 30%. Now it’s time to use the R word. What they want to tell you is the economy was in decent shape and heading in the right direction, with all the printing and spending money, now there is a 50% chance of recession.
  • They do not know how the day to day economy works, the lawmakers get the tax payer money, the pharma money, the lobbyist money and they don’t understand how the economy works.
