Supreme Court Rulings, Nuclear Talks, and Political Maneuvers

Mul­ti­ple devel­op­ments: The Supreme Court has enabled Trump to resume Venezue­lan depor­ta­tions using wartime pow­ers, over­turn­ing a low­er court’s pause, while also halt­ing the return of a deport­ed Mary­land man. The U.S. and Iran are set for nuclear talks—the first direct meet­ing since 2018—possibly spurred by Rus­sia, though Iran insists they’re indi­rect talks. RFK Jr. push­es to ban flu­o­ri­dat­ed water, with the EPA and its head, Zeldin, ready to act, urg­ing the CDC to drop its sup­port for the addi­tive. Mean­while, House Democ­rats tar­get 35 Repub­li­can seats for the 2026 midterms, focus­ing on swing areas like Wis­con­sin and Penn­syl­va­nia, where Dis­tricts 7 and 8 nar­row­ly flipped Repub­li­can in 2025. With Trump off the 2026 bal­lot and Har­ris absent as a Demo­c­ra­t­ic moti­va­tor, a Demo­c­ra­t­ic House flip could lead to Trump’s impeach­ment.

• The Supreme Court clears the way for Venezue­lan Depor­ta­tions to resume for now. Trump could con­tin­ue to deport Venezue­lan migrants using a wartime pow­ers act for now, over­turn­ing a low­er court that had put a tem­po­rary stop to the depor­ta­tions. Supreme court paus­es order requir­ing deport­ed Mary­land man to be returned to US. 
• The US and Iran will hold nuclear talks on Sat­ur­day. The first face to face meet­ing since 2018. Bet­ting that Rus­sia told Iran they have to meet with Trump. Iran is push­ing back and say­ing they are indi­rect talks. 
• Kennedy calls for States to ban flu­o­ri­dat­ed drink­ing water. EPA pre­pared to act on RFKs request to remove flu­o­ride from drink­ing water. Kennedy is telling the CDC to end its long­time rec­om­men­da­tion for the prac­tice. EPA Zeldin also said his agency is ready to act. 
• House democ­rats unveil 35 repub­li­can tar­gets for 2026 midterms. Remem­ber the WI supreme court, there are 2 dis­tricts there. In PA there are 4 tar­gets, right after the elec­tions there were 2 dis­tricts that flipped, PA dis­trict 7 and 8. Trump was on the bal­lot in 2024. In 2026 Trump will not be on the bal­lot, but Kamala Har­ris will not be on the bal­lot. Kamala will not be there to scare the democ­rats to vote repub­li­can. PA Dist 8 is right on the NJ bor­der, flipped to repub­li­can in 2025. PA Dist 7 also flipped to repub­li­can in 2025. Both flipped by the skin of their teeth. If we can get every­thing done, tar­iffs get­ting every­thing turn­ing and the tax breaks in place then there shouldn’t be a prob­lem. If the House flips to demo­c­rat they will start impeach­ment of Don­ald Trump.
