Josh McKoon’s Manipulation of Georgia GOP Leadership Elections
Is Josh McKoon, Georgia GOP chair, rigging the upcoming party leadership elections by handpicking a nominating committee to favor his preferred candidates? Despite failing to block David Cross from the ballot, McKoon allegedly pushes Salleigh Grubbs for first vice chair against Alice O’Lenick, Betsy Kramer for second vice chair, Suzi Voyles for secretary, and Caroline Jeffords for assistant secretary, while aiming to oust treasurer Laurie McClain. Did Jeffords “buy” her influence through “fundraising”? McKoon offered Ja’Quon, a Black Young Republican, a photo-op and advisory role to exit the race, while previously distancing himself from Harrison Floyd, indicted in the Trump case. McKoon’s campaign fund, “Josh McKoon for Georgia,” raises questions about financial motives, and an alleged “enemies list” maintained by associate Travis fuels accusations of vindictive politics, highlighting McKoon’s efforts to control the Georgia GOP.
- Josh could not keep David Cross off the ballot. Josh has been very clear he wants to create the team that he wants, not the team the delegates want. Josh wants to manipulate the outcome. He feels that Salleigh could go up against Alice O’Lenick for first vice chair. Salleigh doesn’t want to go against Lisa Pierce. To remove himself from all accountability, he has hand picked the nominating committee although he can put in the two candidates that made the deadline of the call to be on the ballot. Josh wants Betsy Kramer for second vice chair. Josh wants Laurie McClain to be out as treasurer. Suzi Voyles is Josh’s pick for Secretary. The Assistant secretary is a member of the executive officers and they get a vote. Josh wants Caroline Jeffords. Jaquon is a black man, a young republican. How much money do you have to spend for Josh to allow you in the party? Caroline Jeffords has purchased her way to the republican party.
- Josh will take a picture with a black man if it will advance his agenda. Josh offered Ja’Quon to get out of the race to be on the chairman advisory committee. He wants “Key players” Caroline has been a help in raising money. Ja’Quon was offered to come to the office to take a picture with Josh. The black man that Josh will not take a picture with is Harrison Floyd, the black man that was indicted by Fani Willis in the Trump case.
- Pay attention: Josh will say volunteer chairman of the GA GOP. But Josh has Josh McKoon for Georgia campaign fund where he could pull money out for what?
- Josh will get mad when you talk about the enemies list. Travis keeps his enemies list.
