The Georgia Hour, episode 71: Financial Misuse and Political Maneuver by GA GOP Chair Josh McKoon

Josh McKoon, Georgia GOP Chairman, faces scrutiny over alleged financial mismanagement and political scheming. Critics, including David Cross, demand his resignation, citing questionable GA GOP Inc. expenditures, such as $479 for personal trainer sessions, charges at Lutz Cleaners, and a $1,771.40 dinner at Mastro’s in Scottsdale, AZ, potentially linked to Turning Point Action’s endorsement. Other suspect charges include a $3,350 dinner at Hal’s Steakhouse, a $1,235.10 Kentucky Society of Washington membership, and a $5,000 payment to Best Guest Media, possibly tied to Katie Frost, a McKoon supporter. Donors are wary, suspecting misuse of funds, with McKoon allegedly pressuring the treasurer under penalty of perjury. His salary at the Technical College System of Georgia, under Governor Brian Kemp, rose from $163,000 in 2020 to $228,000 in 2024, with travel expenses of $17,800. McKoon boasts about his recent $10,000 GOP contribution, suspecting it funded a hospitality room not from his generosity as he plays it to be. Is McKoon planning to resign as chair to run for Secretary of State, installing Grubbs as chair. A state investigation into GOP finances is demanded amid claims of a cover-up.

  • We have a team around Georgia that is tired of the swamp. The GOP has pushed people too far.
  • Josh McKoon does not want to be chairman of the GA GOP Inc. He thought that he could ride the coattails of Trump and after winning the election for Trump he didn’t think anyone would challenge him. He has a slew of endorsements and it should be a slam dunk. He would get elected with Salleigh Grubbs as his running mate and after the cheering was over in Dalton, three months later he would drop out and run for Secretary of State and then install Salleigh Grubbs as chair.
  • David Cross has officially asked for the resignation of Josh McKoon due to the information that is coming out about the GOP financials. Did Josh give $10K to the GOP or did he buy a hospitality room.
  • Josh McKoon works for Brian Kemp. He is the executive director of the Technical college system of Georgia. He has gone from $163K with $0 travel in 2020 to $228K with $17.8K travel in 2024. A full investigation from the state and into the GA GOP Inc finances. McKoon should not be shredding things. He has already told you that he accidentally paid for a personal.
  • We talked about the personal trainer that was paid for by the GA GOP in the amount of $479, 5 charges. We have charges for Lutz Cleaners, 2 charges with federal share. Josh is pulling out the credit card for what seems to be personal items.
  • There are a number of donors that the GA GOP does not have because of the suspect of misuse of the funds. Josh throws out the penalty of perjury on the treasurer for signing the document. It seems that the card is being thrown out frequently. Show us when the money was returned back to the GOP, did you find it or was it returned because you were put on the spot.
  • Katie Frost is the moderator of the Friday night forum. She goes into this with the focus that Josh needs cover. She has endorsed Josh on her X feed.
  • How much longer is Kandiss Taylor, Debbie Dooley, Katie Frost going to be part of the coverup.
  • If you are a friend of JOsh and a district chair, Chatham county got $1826 for a watch party.
  • Waiting on some answers on a meeting at Brooks Brothers, catering Buckhead Butcher, personal trainer meeting at Alloy Personal (5 charges), FEA Staff Victory dinner at Hal’s Steakhouse, 11-15-2024 for 3350.00, Kentucky Society of Washington for a meeting and membership in the amount of $1235.10, a couple of charges to Lutz Cleaners. Now it is March, a dinner meeting in Scottsdale AZ, who paid for airfare, the election is over, charged at Mastro’s for $1771.40. This is the home of Turning Point Action? Is this a thank you for their endorsement?
  • $5000 payment to Best Guest Media on March 24. Who is the $5000 for. Best Guest Media is a media talent on networks. Amy Doyle worked with the Ted Cruz campaign and so did Katie Frost. Interesting that Katie has been on the networks recently. How many receipts go to Best Guest Media and did it go to Katie Frost?
  • Josh McKoon was at the College Republicans Forum and hinted at a campaign promise for secretary of state. It sounds like he is running for office. He is not going to look for an AG, Senate or Governor.. He is going to look for a secretary of state candidate. Remember Josh ran for secretary of state. He doesn’t want to wait until 2030.
  • A deal has been made. Possibly 2 deals have been made.
  • Brad Barnes has become a surrogate for Josh McKoon, he has been seen riding with Josh McKoon and Salleigh Grubbs. Brad has flipped. When did Josh become his hero?
