Elon Musk steps down from DOGE, with Project 2025 architect Russell Vought taking over, sparking Democratic fury. Media claims Trump aims to end habeas corpus are false; due process remains intact. Georgia’s 2026 Senate primary looms chaotic as John King, a Kemp appointee and pro-Trump figure, enters the race, raising questions about Kemp’s influence and a rumored Valdosta Trump-Kemp deal. With no major incumbents except possibly the Superintendent, the GOP faces a crowded field for constitutional offices, promising a heated primary season unseen since 1999. Speculation grows: is Kemp controlling the ballot, and has King secured Trump’s endorsement?

  • Elon Musk is leaving DOGE and Russell Vought, OMB director and author of Project 2025,  is taking over DOGE.
  • The media is going on about how Trump is going to get rid of “Writ of Habeas Corpus” Article 1, section 9, clause 2… meaning due process. It is not going to be done away with.
  • Can Georgia Republicans avoid a messy US Senate primary? The senate primary is the lead in the 2026 election. Then follows all the constitutional offices. In Georgia the whole slate of constitutional officers are up at one time. This is the year that there are no incumbents going into the office, possibly the only incumbent would be the Superintendent. So as people start jockeying for positions other things open up, competitive state senate races and state house races. It will be a primary season unlike any other season remembered since 1999. Kemp passed up the top drawing card, the US Senate seat. In politics the first thing is name recognition? What’s up with this? Insurance chief John King jumps into Georgia’s Senate race. John King gets appointed after the removal of Jim Beck, where Josh McKoon and Travis Bowden worked, as he gets sentenced to go to jail. The entire year, John King has been very pro-Trump. Why would a Brian Kemp appointee put out a Trump supporter. Is Kemp trying to control the ballot in 2026? Kemp hopes to partner with Trump to avoid a messy GOP battle for Georgia Senate seat. John King is Kemp’s guy. Why can’t Kemp just let the voters decide who will be on the ballot? What was the deal in Valdosta between Kemp and Trump? Who told John King to get in the race? Has he been promised the Trump endorsement for the Senate?
