Uncover the turmoil within the Georgia Republican Assembly (GRA) as key members resign and questions swirl around GA GOP Chairman Josh McKoon’s priorities. From low voter turnout in the 2025 Public Service Commission primary to allegations of financial misconduct and McKoon’s rumored ties to Turning Point, the Georgia GOP faces challenges heading into the 2026 elections. Learn why the GRA’s statement from President Alex Johnson may be misleading, how the loss of 19 State House seats signals trouble, and what it means for the future of Republican control in Georgia. Dive into the FEC filings, the AJC’s shifting coverage, and the battle for the State House and Senate.
- The GRA is up to something. They are leaving. We have a problem going into 2026 that you have never heard come out of Josh’s mouth while campaigning. Alex Johnson the president of the National Federation of Republican Assembly. It is up to Alex to come out and write something to know what happened at the convention. Alex did not write that statement from the GRA for the people in the room. He wrote the statement to mislead the people that could not attend the convention. What are they up to and Why did Salleigh Grubbs and Josh McKoon stay in the GRA.
- We had an election. Josh was more concerned and has never discussed a plan for elections. When you bring up a financial audit there are people that put up a halo on Karen Henschel and Josh McKoon could be spending a lot of extra time in Arizona and with Charlie Kirk which could lead to a Southeast director for Turning Point.
- We have 5 republican public service commissioners in the state of GA that set our rates for our electric. WE had a primary the other day republicans only had 65K and the democrat unopposed candidate got 125K votes. Where was Josh? What happened with voter turnout?
- The AJC has already turned. They were waiting. These are the people that wanted to make sure that Josh McKoon was in there. These are the people that republicans leak things to all the time. There were two triggers. They were waiting for the GOP chair and now they are waiting for July. Yesterday the AJC came out and ran a Chris Carr vs Burt Jones article. Race for control of GA state House already in motion. Josh has been too busy with Turning Point, the marrinattes, and campaigning as the Superbowl coach.
- The GA state house of representatives, republicans had 119 seats. Now republicans hold 100. They have lost 19 seats. Remember Jon Burns just had their caucasus in Sea Island while you were at a convention in Dalton. Josh doesn’t even mention the state house. They only want ballot access from the GOP. In 2018 the last midterm election during Trump’s first term, democrats gained 11 seats in the state house. If all 80 democrats hold their seats, a similar showing would allow them to take control of the chamber. There are seats out there that are in danger. It is getting extremely difficult to pass legislation. It takes 29 votes in the Senate to pass a bill, it takes 91 in the house.
- House district 128 the democrat state rep won by 48 votes. Republicans could run a formidable candidate, or they may continue to try to convince Jackson who supported anti abortion restrictions in 2019 and voted in favor of Kemps priority legislation to switch parties.
- Is our Senate going to be conservative with the new leaders? Jason Anavitarte as majority leader and Larry Walker as president pro tempore.
- We all remember the letter from the GA GOP State treasurer before the convention. Possible embezzlement within the GA GOP. Now for some reason you can not say anything about Josh McKoon and Karen Henschel. Who has the credit cards and who does the spending. More FEC questionable filings. We will continue to look at the FEC filings.
- The 14th district of GA is red, a big +R. She has republican primary opponents and several democrat opponents. Charlie Bailey, the democrat chair has said that there are 700 seats that will put democrats in the race in an attempt to gain a constitutional office. North Georgia is red and a democrat will not win a seat but it is the population that will overcome the numbers of the metro area but they are working to scratch away from the republican vote to win that constitutional office.
- Hope that there are people watching what is happening with the democrat party but they are too busy interested in the personal advancements rather than doing what is right for the party, state and country.
