The Georgia Hour, episode 120: Why Is Georgia Silent on the $140M Frost Family Ponzi Scheme Scandal?

The $140 mil­lion Ponzi scheme orches­trat­ed by Edwin Brant Frost IV and First Lib­er­ty Build­ing & Loan has rocked Georgia’s polit­i­cal land­scape, yet the Geor­gia Repub­li­can Par­ty (GAGOP) remains eeri­ly silent. Fed­er­al reg­u­la­tors allege Frost defraud­ed 300 investors, mis­ap­pro­pri­at­ing funds for lav­ish spend­ing and fun­nel­ing mon­ey in polit­i­cal dona­tions, many tied to GOP can­di­dates. The Frost fam­i­ly, deeply embed­ded in the GAGOP, with Brant V and Katie Frost hold­ing key roles, used their influ­ence to fun­nel taint­ed mon­ey into cam­paigns, rais­ing ques­tions about com­plic­i­ty. Geor­gia Sec­re­tary of State Brad Raf­fensperg­er has urged politi­cians to return these “ill-got­ten gains,” but few, includ­ing Kan­diss Tay­lor, have com­plied. The GAGOP’s lack of response, cou­pled with Chair­man Josh McKoon’s silence, fuels spec­u­la­tion of deep­er ties to the Frosts. Grass­roots activists like Amy and Kylie Jane Kre­mer demand account­abil­i­ty, call­ing for the Frosts’ removal from par­ty posi­tions, yet no action has been tak­en. This scan­dal threat­ens the GAGOP’s cred­i­bil­i­ty as the 2026 elec­tion looms, with vot­ers ques­tion­ing whether silence was “bought.” The Atlanta Jour­nal-Con­sti­tu­tion con­tin­ues to probe, while Democ­rats may exploit this vul­ner­a­bil­i­ty. Will the GAGOP address the scan­dal to restore trust, or will their inac­tion cost them in 2026? • Do not allow peo­ple to shove and pick your can­di­dates for you. Make these can­di­dates answer your ques­tions and earn your vote. Our wish is that every can­di­date had nev­er spent any time under the Gold Dome, the cards are stacked against the peo­ple. There is noth­ing worse than a cor­rupt sys­tem with cor­rupt politi­cians pulling polit­i­cal stunts. 
• Tim Flem­ing is run­ning for Sec­re­tary of State. If Jon Burns has made a deal with the Sen­ate and with the gov­er­nor. Jon Burns, or his ring of fire of cor­rup­tion, will push some­one into sup­port­ing a can­di­date with the dona­tion from a lead­er­ship PAC. Vic­tor Ander­son was sup­posed to be chair of the Blue Rib­bon pan­el on elec­tions. Then Tim Flem­ing slides in as chair­man 72 hours before the first meet­ing. Who made him chair­man, Jon Burns. Jon Burns has anoint­ed Tim Flem­ing. Tim Flem­ing might be a nice guy but we are so tired of the anoint­ment of can­di­dates. Then Jon Burns racks up some endorse­ments for Tim Flem­ing. 
• Burt Jones sets up the com­mit­tee to study the state income tax. If the state gets a dol­lar from you they will not illu­mi­nate the $ from you. They should be talk­ing about prop­er­ty tax­es and be seri­ous about it. If you think they are going to give you a dol­lar here don’t think they won’t take it from over here. They will not claw back these tax abate­ments from Hyundai and Kia and the movie indus­try. 
• The Gold Dome wants Tim Flem­ing to be the Sec­re­tary of State.  Will Tim Flem­ing decer­ti­fy the machines on day one? 
• Peo­ple are start­ing to get back their mon­ey from the First Lib­er­ty Build­ing and Loan. We have hours of tape of what took place. The Frost fam­i­ly, 3 are employ­ees of FLBL, and mom is the home­mak­er and writes a lot of cam­paign checks. Brant V, Katie and Krista are all tied into the GAGOP. The GAGOP has not released a sin­gle state­ment, they are com­plic­it. There is much more that is hid­den. Why wouldn’t the GAGOP or any politi­cian take the high road? Come out with a check and cam­eras to give the mon­ey back. The opin­ion is that they are so woven in with the Frost fam­i­ly. Brad Raf­fensperg­er knows that there are peo­ple that can­not unrav­el from the sit­u­a­tion. 
• Greg Dolezal, who wants to run for Lt Gov of GA, there is so much smoke around him where he has mil­lions invest­ed in FLBL. Once the fab­ric comes apart, there are politi­cians that will be fin­ished. There are law­mak­ers that want­ed to invest in FLBL and they didn’t want their name tied into the invest­ment. 
• We talked about Amy Kremer’s let­ter ask­ing for res­ig­na­tions and removal of the Frost fam­i­ly mem­bers. Remem­ber Amy point­ed out that Katie Frost is the chair of the finan­cial over­sight com­mit­tee. Remem­ber that Mike Crane replaced BKP as 1st Vice Chair of the GAGOP and was the chair of the 2025 State Con­ven­tion. Mike Crane got $30K from the Frost fam­i­ly in the 2024 pri­ma­ry. 
• A GA man accused of run­ning a Ponzi scheme con­tributed to 3 Alaba­ma offi­cials. Brant IV con­tributed $71K to Alaba­ma State Audi­tor Andrew Sor­rel, who made a $29K loan to one of Frost’s com­pa­nies. 
• Alex Kauf­man is Brant IV attor­ney, he is also the legal coun­sel for the GAGOP. Won­der if the oth­er fam­i­ly mem­bers are hir­ing attor­neys. Brant IV is try­ing to take the blame for all of the crime. Is there loy­al­ty and silence part of the pur­chase. Krista Frost gave Kan­diss Tay­lor $3500 3 days after the state con­ven­tion. Recent­ly Kan­diss post­ed, she can’t be bought. She doesn’t answer to donors, lob­by­ists or polit­i­cal fam­i­lies? Why doesn’t she return the mon­ey from the Frost fam­i­ly. Kan­diss has been asked, she is not giv­ing the mon­ey back. 
• The Frost fam­i­ly used $1.4 mil­lion in cam­paign con­tri­bu­tions to build polit­i­cal clout in GA and across the nation over the past two decades in GA, AL, ME, FL and else­where. 
• Kan­diss Tay­lor is wait­ing for the SEC to tell her what to do. She would nor­mal­ly tell you to do the right thing and give you Bible vers­es on what to do, but in this case she is wait­ing for the gov­ern­ment to tell her what to do. 
• Remem­ber the Frost fam­i­ly used the mon­ey defraud­ed to vaca­tion in Maine spend­ing $230K between 2019 and 2024 on a vaca­tion home. They took the mon­ey under the guise of Chris­tain­ty. 
• Kylie Jane Kre­mer has put some things out that are truth­ful. In GA when a per­son runs for a par­ty office they do not have to dis­close dona­tions. WE know there was an enor­mous amount of mon­ey that was spent that has not been dis­closed. Kylie is ask­ing how much mon­ey did they receive from the Frost fam­i­ly for their cam­paigns for the GAGOP office. 
• In GA they use the blan­ket of “do not speak ill of a fel­low repub­li­can” to cov­er up the cor­rup­tion. There are peo­ple all over the state there to say “Don’t attack anoth­er Repub­li­can.”
• Why the silence? Did they buy the silence? 
• We have to clean this up now. We have can­di­dates that are run­ning for office. The AJC is not going to let this go and the democ­rats are going to let it go and go when there is silence and the GAGOP is allow­ing it to keep going and not stop­ping it. This takes the entire focus of the par­ty. We need to remove the Frost fam­i­ly from the GAGOP if we are to win the 2026 elec­tion.
