The Georgia Hour, episode 122: Why Did GAGOP Chair Josh McKoon Delay Returning $ in Frost Family Ponzi Scheme?

Geor­gia Repub­li­can Par­ty (GAGOP) Chair­man Josh McK­oon faces scruti­ny for delay­ing the return of $36,843.97 in con­tri­bu­tions linked to the Frost family’s $140M Ponzi scheme, which defraud­ed over 300 investors. Despite SEC action and a receiver’s appoint­ment, McK­oon wait­ed 10 days after the receiver’s dev­as­tat­ing sta­tus report to issue a state­ment and return the funds, rais­ing ques­tions about trans­paren­cy and GAGOP’s ties to the Frost fam­i­ly. Crit­ics, includ­ing Sec­re­tary of State Brad Raf­fensperg­er, act­ed swift­ly to return taint­ed dona­tions, while McKoon’s delay and vague state­ment avoid­ing nam­ing Frost fam­i­ly mem­bers fuel spec­u­la­tion of deep­er involve­ment or finan­cial cov­er-ups with­in the GAGOP. • Our con­sti­tu­tion­al offi­cers are all vot­ed on togeth­er and every 8 years you end up with a new slate of offi­cers. In Geor­gia we have a pro­mo­tion sys­tem where the Gov­er­nor appoints you. We would like to get an attor­ney gen­er­al that will work for us and with Trump’s DOJ. The sec­re­tary of state has to be ready for the next elec­tion sys­tem for the 2028 elec­tion. We have to vet can­di­dates for all these con­sti­tu­tion­al offi­cers. 
• Then we were thrown the rigged elec­tion of the GAGOP state offi­cers where we exposed the finan­cials of the GAGOP where McK­oon may be using for per­son­al expens­es. 
• Now we have the $140M Ponzi scheme by the Frost fam­i­ly. The AJC is mak­ing sure that every­one knows the Frost fam­i­ly. “First lib­er­ty sold faith and MAGA loy­al­ty. How con­ser­v­a­tive media helped.” Don’t know how much John Fred­er­icks received from the Frost fam­i­ly. He helped them reach peo­ple. Now John Fred­er­icks feels duped by the fam­i­ly and feels bad for the vic­tims. John Fred­er­icks has been so entan­gled in the woven fab­ric of lies along with Josh McK­oon and Salleigh Grubbs. First Lib­er­ty was also an adver­tis­er on the Erick Erick­son radio show, Hugh Hewitt, Char­lie Kirk, not only were they adver­tis­ers but they also gave per­son­al tes­ti­monies of the com­pa­ny. 
• In the con­sent judge­ment, Brant IV, the father, took com­plete blame for the scheme. The con­sent judge­ment is a gen­er­al state­ment that the defen­dants will coop­er­ate. There are land­mines every­where. Every­one has lawyered up. The AJC and oth­ers are going to con­tin­ue to devel­op the sto­ry. You can­not sep­a­rate the GAGOP from the Frost fam­i­ly, as they are giv­ing back the mon­ey think­ing they can be sep­a­rat­ed. Josh McK­oon is not chair­man with­out Brant V and Frost fam­i­ly. Some­one will be a whistle­blow­er soon, they will go to the receiv­er or the FBI. There are fed­er­al juris­dic­tions and mail fraud. 
• When you have some­thing like this and pol­i­tics are com­bined some­where there is quid pro quo. The receiv­er is say­ing there is a lot that has to be shift­ed through. They have to go through the banks. 
• Salleigh Grubbs made a state­ment yes­ter­day, to her cred­it that she has nev­er invest­ed in First Lib­er­ty. Where is the state­ment from Josh McK­oon that he nev­er invest­ed any­thing or nev­er encour­aged any­one to see the Frost fam­i­ly. Josh is a lawyer. The state­ment he made and the check that was cut is all lawyer­ing up. 
• Some­one sat Brant IV down and told him there is a prob­lem. And just like that he pleads the Fifth. 
• Keep in mind that the Receiv­er is in place for 10 days. There are can­di­dates out there that got mon­ey from the Frost fam­i­ly and they don’t know what to do. It is not to Josh McK­oon or Alex Kauf­man, noth­ing is con­fus­ing here. One the same day that Brad Raf­fensperg­er sent his mon­ey back, he knew he could just send it back to the receiv­er. The GAGOP acts like it took for­ev­er to find it. What were they wait­ing for? For the dad to plead the Fifth. The GAGOP is not on the up and up. Then they wait­ed for the Receiver’s sta­tus report which is dev­as­tat­ing. The sto­ries com­ing from vic­tims of First Lib­er­ty try­ing to get the deeds after the loans have been paid off and are using the prop­er­ty to solic­it more funds on the victim’s prop­er­ty. The Receiv­er intends to close­ly scru­ti­nize the improp­er use of investor funds used as char­i­ta­ble dona­tions or cam­paign con­tri­bu­tions and to seek the return of all such funds to the fullest extent per­mit­ted by applic­a­ble law.  Will the receiv­er look at the GAGOP books? 
• After Brant IV pleads the Fifth, the Receiv­er is look­ing close­ly, after arti­cle, after arti­cle point­ing out the mon­ey giv­en to the GAGOP and how embed­ded the Frost fam­i­ly is in the GAGOP… then Josh releas­es a state­ment 10 days after the receiv­er was appoint­ed but imme­di­ate­ly after the first sta­tus report. Josh McK­oon has been told to shut this down. Josh gets a check for $36,843.97 for the con­tri­bu­tions between 2021 and present. The GAGOP Inc is finan­cial­ly strapped, he had to get the mon­ey from some­where. The Receiv­er is telling you that the Ponzi scheme was from 2014 until now. In Josh’s state­ment, how many times do you see “Frost fam­i­ly,” Brant Frost V, Katie Frost, Krista Frost. This is legal BS. Why didn’t Josh name the fam­i­ly mem­bers in the state­ment?
