President Trump intensifies his DC crackdown, boosting cooperation between DC Police and ICE, with police notifying ICE of undocumented immigrant arrests and granting ICE access to facilities. As a federal test run, Trump leverages unique executive powers in DC, hinting at expanding this approach nationwide via emergency declarations until courts intervene. Attorney General Pam Bondi appoints DEA Administrator Terry Cole as emergency DC police chief. Trump claims DC’s reported crime drop—down 26% in 2025 per MPD data—is falsified, alleging federal statistics manipulation. Amid Georgia’s budget surplus, Trump criticizes wasteful spending and unaddressed homelessness, urging solutions beyond clearing encampments to tackle crime, drugs, and corruption while funds are misappropriated

  • DC Police and ICE to increase cooperation as part of Trump’s crackdown. DC Police to notify ICE when undocumented immigrants are arrested. ICE agents to access DC Police facilities. DC is a test run because the federal government and the president have more executive powers in DC than in any other city. Trump has said that he can continue this under a state of emergency in any city in the United States, it will give him the power equal to what he has right now until a court stops it to prove a point.
  • AG Bondi appoints DEA administrator as emergency DC police chief.
  • Trump accuses DC of faking statistics showing a drop in crime. All the statistics that come from the federal government are altered.
  • When you see a homeless person you have to ask why? No one should be on the streets homeless without asking the question Why and how to solve it. We have a surplus in Georgia, we can’t feel good that we have enormous spending on certain issues where people are stealing money from the taxpayers and then we have someone sleeping on the street. You can’t just take a bulldozer and clean up the tents and be done with it. You have to solve the problem.
  • We do need to clean up the crime, drugs, and corruption while someone steals the money and someone is sleeping on the street.
