As Georgia’s 2025 Labor Day campaign season ignites, tensions flare with a split in the Republican Party. Mike Collins’ Senate campaign kickoff reveals a divide, with Governor Brian Kemp allegedly steering supporters away to back Derek Dooley against Jon Ossoff. Meanwhile, Lt. Gov. Burt Jones pushes for state income tax elimination, and a Ponzi scheme tied to the Frost family and First Liberty Building & Loan stirs controversy in the Third District. Public Service Commission races and Fulton County’s election board contempt battle add to the chaos, alongside debates over HB581’s property tax amendment. Stay updated on Georgia’s heated political landscape!

  • Labor Day weekend is the campaign season start date. The politicians are going to be out there on the stump. If you have politicians at your meetings, reach out to let us know for BKP to show up.
  • Mike Collins campaign kick off event last night. What Brian Kemp will do is he will have a team to direct people to not attend. Brian Kemp had people out at the campaign to see who was in the room. There is a split in the republican party and we have to do what it takes to mend the split to defeat Jon Ossoff. Burt Jones lives about a mile down the road from the Mike Collins event and was in the room. Burt Jones will have his event in the same area next week.
  • Lawmakers are in Atlanta to make the case on eliminating Georgia’s income tax. The legislative study committee on eliminating the state income tax was packed with lobbyists with many of them representing corporate clients. The republican led committee created by Lt Gov Burt Jones and led by state Sen. Blake Tillery.
  • In the third district we are able to find the Lt governor, the chairman of the GOP and the congressman Brian Jack. While in the third district is the Frost family. Now there are people all across the state saying that we need to allow the investigation to take its course before laying blame. While Walton county man, 76 year old Vietnam vet, says First Liberty took his $750K investment. Frost IV looked at him in the eye and lied. Walton was promised a 13% return and the money would be invested in Chrisitian ministries. The case is a civil matter currently but the FBI is looking at the facts. We know that Brant V was offering commissions offering deals to bring people to the family. Timothy Darnell, GRA president, is a broker at Bankers Life referring customers to the Frost family and First Liberty Building and Loan.
  • The GAGOP Inc continue to say that they don’t want anything to get in the way of the election. But how many have seen the news stories as more information is being released on the Ponzi scheme. It will keep going and going. The Frost family political ties will come out. No one has the guts and courage to come out publicly to tell the Frost family to get out of the GAGOP. This is the third district, an entire district. Instead of having these committee meetings and going to all these stump speeches, someone needs to stand up to the Frost family.
  • We have two Public Service Commissioner campaigns going on, District 2 Tim Echols and District 3 Fitz Johnson. Let’s say that the democrats take the VA governor office and if they take one or two of the PSC seats, it will be like an earthquake that went off in the state. No one is talking about these races. In the District 2 PSC primary 63K republicans voted vs 125K democrats in an unopposed race.
  • While they are down at the Gold Dome talking about eliminating State Income Tax. During the 2024 general election, you were told that people didn’t understand HB581, most Georgians, republican and democrat 63% of Georgia thought that this constitutional amendment would help on their property tax. People voted because they want something done on their property tax. The lobbyist against the people that handle our cities, our commissioners, our education boards fought hard to have an opt out clause of the HB581 known as the Local Option Homestead Property Tax Exemption Amendment.
  • It was very clear at the Mike Collins campaign kickoff that Brian Kemp had put the thumb on it. The crowd was a very Trump-like crowd. Kemp had his plants in the room to report back to the Dooley camp. They make sure that the people they told not to show up and they show up. The energy is in the campaign, but you can tell this was not the Brian Kemp crowd, there are several people that did not show up. Once again Brian Kemp divided this state. Keep this in mind Derek Dooley will have the money to get you to believe the pink elephant is blue. The runoff will be brutal. The AJC knows the rift in the GOP.
  • Fulton county commission is in contempt of court. The judge said they have to appoint Jason Fraizer and Julie Adams to the board of elections. Fulton county doesn’t want anyone to look at the election data. Fulton board of commissioners meeting is today, they are supposed to open the meeting at 10 am today. Will Bridget Thorne amend the agenda to add an item to the agenda to put Julie Adams and Jason Fraizer on the board of elections? The court has said that the next meeting is when the commissioners are to appoint Julie and Jason to the election board. This morning it was not on the agenda.
