  • Pick­ens Coun­ty is chang­ing their bylaws to ensure that Pick­ens Coun­ty GOP qual­i­fies con­ser­v­a­tive can­di­dates to run as Repub­li­cans. The Pick­ens Coun­ty GOP is ensur­ing the vot­ers of Pick­ens Coun­ty are true repub­li­cans.
  • The can­di­dates would have to be approved by the coun­ty com­mit­tee (the precinct chair­man, precinct sec­re­tary and the exec­u­tive com­mit­tee of the Pick­ens Coun­ty GOP) before being put on the bal­lot as a repub­li­can. We know that there are peo­ple in office that are clear­ly not repub­li­cans. The cur­rent sys­tem is bro­ken.
