Despite the Indictments, Polling Data Show Trump the GOP Nominee
- Everyone this morning is talking about Fani Willis in Fulton County. CNN produced the one hour long special with Anderson Cooper, they had it in the can for the time released. Former GOP Chair David Shafer. State Senator Shawn Still, and Kathy Latham are the names that are circulating that Fani Willis is ready to indict. Trump’s indictment won’t come until the middle of August.
- As the poll numbers drop, add more charges on Trump. Or hope that GA will take him down.
- The judge schedules a hearing on Trump’s motion to disqualify DA Willis. Senior Superior Court Judge Stephen Schuster in an order signed Friday also directed both sides to submit their legal briefs on the issue no later than Aug 8. Court date is set for August 10.
- RFK has asked for secret service protection. It was denied by the Biden Administration. The typical turnaround for pro forma protection requests from presidential candidates is 14-days. After 88 days of no response and after several follow ups the Biden administration denied the request. Sec Mayorkas “ I have determined that Secret Service protection for Robert F Kennedy Jr is not warranted at this time.”
