CIA’s Signal Sting: Hegseth Takes the Fall in Trump Team Scandal

This pod­cast, dat­ed March 26, 2025, alleges a CIA spe­cial ops group orches­trat­ed a Sig­nal app oper­a­tion, access to sen­si­tive chats by jour­nal­ist Jef­frey Gold­berg, who timed his sto­ry release before an SSCI hear­ing to tar­get Trump offi­cials over Ukraine and Rus­sia poli­cies. Gold­berg exit­ed the chat post-leak, ampli­fy­ing the scan­dal. Pete Hegseth faces blame, while Nation­al Secu­ri­ty Advi­sor Michael Waltz, who built the group, and CIA Direc­tor John Rat­cliffe, whose com­put­er had Sig­nal pre-loaded, dodge scruti­ny. Trump points to a sub­or­di­nate under Waltz tied to Gold­berg’s phone num­ber. They are mak­ing this a scan­dal and it was cre­at­ed inter­nal­ly. Some­one let Gold­berg in. Pete Hegseth is get­ting thrown under the bus. Waltz is get­ting “he’s a good man”. Trump explains that some­one on a low­er lev­el under Waltz had Gold­bergs num­ber. Waltz admits he built the group. Sig­nal was loaded on Ratcliffe’s com­put­er. Most of the CIA uses Sig­nal. CIA Raf­cliffe say­ing it was not a mis­take.
