Georgia’s Voting Overhaul: Paper Ballots, ERIC Debate, and 2026 Ambitions

This segment, dated March 26, 2025, focuses on Georgia’s evolving political landscape. SB214, a bill mandating hand-filled paper ballots over touchscreen machines, is set for a committee vote today at 5 PM, following a packed hearing yesterday. With only four days left in the legislative session, the Senate must rush it to the House. Another bill, also up today, aims to eliminate ERIC, a voter registration system criticized despite its touted benefits. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Governor Brian Kemp are aligning with Trump’s executive order to remove non-citizens from voter rolls, a move seen as election-season posturing—Kemp even spotlighted hunting criminals in a “big truck.” Meanwhile, Democrats Stacey Abrams and Lucy McBath are leveraging anti-Trump sentiment, eyeing 2026 runs.

  • They are trying to get rid of Pete Hegseth. Full Yemen war plans in bombshell Signal chat between Trump officials released. They are releasing these notes that have become public in The Atlantic by Jeffrey Goldberg.
  • Ossoff blasts senior Trump administration officials over group chat. No one is going to Pete’s defense.
  • We have SB214, the bill will be voted out of committee today at 5pm. Yesterday the committee hearing room was full. Georgia’s next voting system. Senators seek paper ballots filled out by hand. The bill will require almost all GA voters to bubble in their choices at polling places instead of using touchscreen computers that print out paper ballots.
  • There are only 4 days left in the legislative session, ending next week. The Senate has to push this bill out to the house for a vote.
  • We have to get rid of ERIC as well which is in a different bill that will be heard today. They want you to believe that ERIC is a good system.
  • Now all of a sudden Brad Raffensperger is bragging on Donald Trump’s executive order on removing illegals from voting in our elections. And Brian Kemp is all of a sudden wanting to side with the Trump administration in removing illegals. He is out there hunting criminals in the big truck. It must be election season in GA.
  • Stacey Abrams taps democrat anger over Trump as she considers 2026 options.
  • Lucy McBath is probably looking at a democrat bid for governor.
