And they are getting cuts from the states and the counties ultimately saying they need more money year over year. In GA we passed a bill HB581, it was to help to slow the rate of property tax. It has ballooned to a point where people can’t afford their homes. The state house put a provision into the bill where the city could opt out of HB581 because of the lobbyists. The bill passed a statewide ballot vote by 63%. The lawmakers say that the people didn’t understand the amendment.
