GA GOP Convention Chaos: Secret Rules, Clicker Controversies, and a Push for Paper Ballots to Save the Vote!
The Georgia GOP State Convention is set for this weekend, and tensions are high. Critics demand a 50+1 majority for convention votes and transparency on who chairs the convention. Allegations swirl around Brant Frost’s control of electronic “clickers” for voting, raising concerns about bias, while Josh McKoon’s team claims they’ll respect delegates’ wishes with a push for a standing vote. The Grassroots having a strong push for paper ballots is gaining traction to ensure a fair process, amid fears that current rules and technology could manipulate outcomes.
- The GA GOP State Convention is this weekend. We need to get a copy of the rules. You will have to change the resolutions to 50+1, the reason they want the resolutions on a two-third vote is because they know that the quorum for the two thirds is gone by the time the officers are elected.
- We have to figure out who will chair the convention. We can decide how we vote. The reason they want to pass the rules without altering them you are applying roberts rules of order to change the rules you need two thirds to change the rules after adopting them.
- The other night in a forum everyone was asked if paper ballots were needed at the convention. Majority of the candidates said yes, but the Josh McKoon team said that they will respect what the delegates want. The clickers — the question is going around is that Brant Frost owns the clickers, the Frost family purchased the clickers and the software. Everytime the clickers are being used, Brant Frost is the one operating the software.
- Don’t let anyone tell you that the paper ballots will take too much time. We need paper ballots at the convention.
