In the 2026 Georgia Governor race, Burt Jones secures Donald Trump’s endorsement, positioning him as a MAGA favorite against Chris Carr. Jones’ team pressures opponents like MTG out of the race, but Brian and Marty Kemp’s influence looms large, potentially backing a rival like Derek Dooley for Senate. Rumors swirl around Clark Dean as a self-funding wildcard, while Brad Raffensperger’s plans remain unclear. Georgia’s political landscape is heating up with election board controversies, the Frost family’s grip on the third district, and Kandiss Taylor’s first district bid. Stay updated on Georgia politics, MAGA dynamics, and the RNC chair race with Joe Gruters and Amy Kremer.

  • Burt Jones got Donald Trump’s endorsement for Georgia Governor. Burt Jones’ team has been trying to make sure they box in any opposition. Right after the state convention the team put a lot of pressure in moving MTG out of the race. Now they put a lot of pressure on the White House to get the endorsement now. It really looks good that he kicks the campaign off and is already endorsed by Trump. But Jones is not Brian and Marty Kemp’s candidate. Brian and Marty Kemp are not totally on board with Chris Carr, and you want me to believe that they are only going to focus on the Senate and leave the governor’s office alone. The Kemps are not going to walk away from the governor’s race. If it is just Burt Jones and Chris Carr it would not involve the Kemps. Are they going to leave him with his MAGA endorsement and run the table to get a ballot in the general election? We don’t know what is happening with Brad Raffensperger.
  • There is a name out there, Clark Dean. There is a lot of discussion circling this guy. He can self-fund. He may put his name in for governor.  We do not know for sure if he will jump in, it is rumored around in the political circles.
  • MAGA will probably support Burt Jones. If people get an alternative, not Chris Carr or Brad Raffensperger, republicans will look at that person. There are a lot of insiders who are talking that they don’t think Burt Jones can win against the democrat candidate.
  • When and will Mike Collins get the same endorsement from Donald Trump?
  • Brian Marty and the girls want a republican governor to help maintain the possibility that he maintains the possibility that he becomes the president of UGA. Remember Kemp has appointed all the members of the board of regents. Marty has chosen Derek Dooley for Senate. Don’t forget that Brian Kemp has stabbed Donald Trump in the back with this disappointing appointment for Senate against Ossoff. We already know that Brian Kemp has put his fundraising support for Dooley to let everyone know that Dooley is the son of Vince Dooley. Dooley is a never Trumper, he has never voted for Trump, never supported Trump and the only support Dooley has given is $5500 to Kemp’s campaign in 2022. Dooley has never registered as a republican. Derek Dooley personal social media has been locked down. He has had his account on X since Jan 2010 and you can not go through it because he doesn’t want you to see that he is a never Trumper. His team is trying to clean up his social media so you cannot see the truth.
  • The entire Brian Kemp machine is running the Derek Dooley campaign. Amy Porter, Brian Kemp’s daughter, has a business partner and the fundraising is going through their small business and it is possible that $15M can be skimmed off the top of the donations.
  • The 3–2 passing of the SEB resolution asking for assistance from the DOJ is a closed case. The State elections board would not hear the Joe Rossi case any longer they closed the case. When news surrounds the Fulton County 2020 election, you have to stop and remember that it is going nowhere. The case has been closed. The resolution is only a suggestion and asking for the assistance. The SEB is not going directly to the DOJ because they do not have the authority. The documents at Fulton County probably no longer exist.
  • Don’t forget in Fulton County the Board of Elections has refused to allow Jason Fraizer on the board and has not reappointed Julie Adams going against the court order. Bridget Thorne put the appointments on the agenda and then she removed it after the executive meeting to follow the legislative process. That is when the Fulton Co GOP said they are in contempt of court and asked for an emergency hearing. Judge David Emerson will hear the petition on Friday at 1:30pm.
  • In the state of Georgia, we have a major problem in our elections, there is no consistency of how the counties are to form their board of elections. Not every county has to put the republican party nominee on the county’s board of elections. Just recently all the counties have been moved to a board of elections and we need a consistent ruling on what needs to happen and the republican party needs to step up and make sure their nominees are accepted.
  • We have David Clark from Suwanee who has stepped in for Lt Governor. Blake Tillery has kicked off his campaign for Lt Governor.
  • The RNC chairman Michael Whatley is running for NC Senate, now there is an opening. Joe Gruters is Trump’s endorsed candidate for Whatley’s replacement. The RNC summer meeting is Aug 19–22 in Atlanta. Our RNC National committee woman, Amy Kremer, who is one of three that will have a vote for the next chair of the RNC. Amy is having a listening tour across the state to get the grassroots input.
  • MTG is saying she is staying in her district. Nick Dyer, her chief of staff, left at the end of May.
  • The Frost family has full control of the third district. Now there have been a couple of days that the Frost family has not been on the front page of the AJC. The democrats are not going to leave it alone that they are controlling Georgia politics. There will be indictments and other names come out, so the question remains why won’t they get out of the district. It is not a matter of admitting guilt. They are so cautious in doing things that they might admit guilt. No one is asking them to step away, and they are daring for someone to ask them. This is not over in the third district. There are a lot of people in the third district who want to clean house, so nothing is standing in the way of the mission. There is something wrong with how they will not leave the party and no one will ask them to leave. There are people that are working to clean the district.
  • Even though Jim Kingston has had several large fundraisers, they see him as a spoiled brat. He thinks he is heir apparent, the Kingston name is the King of the district. But Kandiss is not their go too. The first district is still wide open. The people who really pay attention to politics in the first district are looking for an option. Kandiss is still hopeful that the Georgia GOP will get behind her after she qualifies.
  • You cannot support Derek Dooley and support Donald Trump. Brian Kemp put Dooley in the race against the support of Donald Trump, against the agreement with Donald Trump.
