OPINION: Trump and the Swamp That Still Oozes With Criminality

Its the Swamp! We can­not lose sight of the sin­gu­lar fact that Wash­ing­ton DC is still a dan­ger­ous swamp from where we are being gov­erned not by the best and bright­est but the dull and stu­pid. There are excep­tions of course but they are near­ly pow­er­less or worth­less to effect change. Wash­ing­ton, DC remains infest­ed with rot­ten politi­cians of both par­ties that must be drained away. Don­ald Trump, attacked as he was by Democ­rats dur­ing his first term with egre­gious lies of Russ­ian col­lu­sion in fact, pan­icked the DC crowd with his promise to drain the swamp, must con­tin­ue the effort. The left went crazy and have stayed crazy ever since, includ­ing the GOPs nev­er Trumpers. And yet, here he is again, on the hori­zon again threat­en­ing to drain the swamp once more but, this time with knowl­edge.

Why does the swamp need to be drained? Because its cor­rupt. Enter­ing con­gress­men, many with no spine or back­bone, eas­i­ly suc­cumb to the siren calls of build­ing up per­son­al wealth. To do so on a Con­gress­man­’s salary is near­ly impos­si­ble but, to do so as a Con­gres­sion­al Com­mit­tee­man with inside knowl­edge isnt. I am not a NY Times read­er but they recent­ly pub­lished some facts on Insid­er Trad­ing, the silent form of cor­rup­tion that rarely see light of day, that I find inter­est­ing enough to com­ment on. In the Times’ piece, it was stat­ed at least nine­ty-sev­en cur­rent mem­bers of Con­gress or their imme­di­ate fam­i­lies, bought or sold stock, bonds, or oth­er finan­cial assets that inter­sect­ed with their con­gres­sion­al work. Now, mem­bers of Con­gress are not banned from invest­ing in com­pa­nies includ­ing those that can be affect­ed by their posi­tions as law­mak­ers. So, its okay, Nan­cy Pelosi saw to that, but the ris­ing num­ber of Con­gress­men under increased scruti­ny for their eco­nom­ic wind­falls should raise red flags for the next con­gress to address. The peo­ple are watch­ing! Con­tin­u­ing, The Times report­ed some con­gress­men have made out so well as expert mar­ket traders in sev­er­al exchange-trad­ed funds that the record sim­ply mir­rors the per­son­al port­fo­lios of these mem­bers of Con­gress. Nan­cy Pelosi was­nt includ­ed but, anoth­er dire exam­ple was the wife of Rep (D‑Ca) Alan Lowen­thal who, on March 5, 2020, sold Boe­ing Air­craft shares one day before a com­mit­tee that Alan Lowen­thal sits on released dam­ag­ing infor­ma­tion about Boe­ings han­dling of its unfor­tu­nate 737 jet. That air­craft mod­el was involved in two fatal crash­es.

It was fur­ther report­ed in the Times’ arti­cle that forty-sev­en Democ­rats and forty-nine Repub­li­cans were under obser­va­tion. Again, Nan­cy Pelosi was not includ­ed but many trades demon­strat­ed excel­lent tim­ing, like Bob Gibbs (R‑Ohio), who sits on the House Over­sight Com­mit­tee, alleged­ly pur­chased shares of the phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal com­pa­ny Abb­Vie in 2020 and 2021 even as his com­mit­tee was inves­ti­gat­ing them for exces­sive drug prices. We already sus­pect Speak­er Nan­cy Pelo­sis insid­er trad­ing gains as well. She faces alle­ga­tions that she always clued in her hus­band Paul on those good deals and dont you know, ya got­ta get in on them good deals! Who woul­da guessed? Sure­ly not our pre­cious Nan­cy!

Any­way, the Swamp needs drain­ing and Trumps the one who can do it. But hes already under renewed attacks not lim­it­ed to what the Democ­rats and Nev­er Trumpers will do but also the glob­al­ist New World Order who are schem­ing to rid them­selves of the Trump threat as well. The RiNO GOPs lead­er­ship, seek to foment an intra­party fight between Trump and Flori­da Gov. Ron DeSan­tis, just to start the ball rolling.A waste of mon­ey, isnt it? Trump is the fron­trun­ner­for the 2024 Repub­li­can pres­i­den­tial nom­i­na­tion, even after DeSan­tis won a land­slide reelec­tion bid to keep Flori­das gov­er­nor­ship Red. It remains to be seen how many MAGA vot­ers may con­sid­er jump­ing ship from Trump to DeSan­tis as the main stream media pre­dicts but,while Ron DeSan­tis has proved his excep­tion­al man­age­r­i­al abil­i­ties and would be a for­mi­da­ble can­di­date, Trump still holds the MAGA record of Pres­i­den­tial suc­cess and needs anoth­er term to fin­ish drain­ing the swamp and Make Amer­i­ca Great Again.

Ron DeSan­tis should not be cast aside in any inter-par­ty squab­ble between the GOPs Left and Right wings, but pre­pare him­self to take over in four years. We are enter­ing a new era of younger con­ser­v­a­tive polit­i­cal politi­cians stand­ing up against the Marx­ist Social­ists that is the Demo­c­rat Par­ty and the elder­ly lead­er­ship of the cur­rent GOP. They must be can­di­dates untaint­ed by scan­dal and will­ing to stand against the indi­vid­ual self-serv­ing cor­rup­tion that is our cur­rent Fed­er­al gov­ern­ment. It cor­rupts or destroys every­thing that comes with­in its orbit.

Imme­di­ate­ly Trump announced his 2024 ambi­tions the RiNO Nev­er Trumpers start­ed their cam­paign against him try­ing to tell us Trumps days are over. Non­sense! The Main Stream Media is pur­su­ing that meme but as they no longer hold any author­i­ty for truth­ful­ness or authen­tic­i­ty that peo­ple can accept, then their opin­ion does­nt count. Nei­ther has Ron DeSan­tis made any move to sig­nal his pos­si­ble run for pres­i­dent in 2024. Did he promise to fill his next four years as Flori­da’s gov­er­nor? His time will come!

We are being breath­less­ly told that Trump sim­ply cant win elec­tions, but not why. The 2022 mid term elec­tions at the local and state lev­els, rev­eled that Trump endorse can­di­dates swept most elec­tions even down to school boards. There is a Red Tide, we just dont see it. An ear­ly Wash­ing­ton Exam­in­er edi­to­r­i­al show­ing back­ing for Ron DeSan­tis, claimed that a boom­ing, broad-coat tailed DeSan­tis was prefer­able to ungram­mat­i­cal sour-grapes Trump. Thats their opin­ion. Well see soon enough. The sad thing is that Trump is attack­ing Ron DeSan­tis and thats not good either for him or the new Con­sti­tu­tion­al Repub­li­can Par­ty form­ing up to take over the GOP.

Despite the rhetoric against him, weve already seen what Don­ald Trump can do to restore our nation, and it needs to be restored. Ide­al­ly the best way to dump the Social­ist Democ­rats onto the trash heap would be a Trump and DeSan­tis tick­et work­ing in har­mo­ny for Amer­i­ca but, it aint gonna hap­pen because Con­sti­tu­tion­al­ly, both men are Flori­da res­i­dents, a small fact, but pro­hib­it­ed by the US Con­sti­tu­tion (Art. XII).

Weve got a long row to hoe and intra­party fight­ing should be wound up with­in the next six months or so. Our side cant afford to leave ammu­ni­tion for the Demo­c­rat Social­ist to use against us.

Remem­ber, free­dom is the goal, the Con­sti­tu­tion is the way. Now, go get em! (21Nov22)
