McCarthy Campaigning For Speaker Of The House

Ral­ston will lie in State at the GA State Capi­tol until Today at 11am as he leaves the Capi­tol for the last time. GA State Patrol did a fan­tas­tic job yesterday.

Con­gress­man Andrew Clyde was on our show 2 days ago. He was asked if McCarthy had the votes to become speak­er. Clyde said there were still nego­ti­a­tions hap­pen­ing to take the Speak­er of the House. Clyde also said that the con­ser­v­a­tives will be in charge of the House. Some say that McCarthy going to the bor­der ask­ing for the res­ig­na­tion of May­orkas was a cam­paign stunt to become Speak­er. McCarthy also announced that sev­er­al com­mit­tee bans will hap­pen among demo­c­rat representatives. 

All the empha­sis has been on Don­ald Trump and Don­ald Trump los­ing. Ron DeSan­tis over­whelm­ing­ly won in FL. All these peo­ple who keep say­ing we need tra­di­tion­al repub­li­cans would put DeSan­tis as a Trump replace­ment. But many peo­ple think DeSan­tis is the Trump they can accept. The Wall Street Jour­nal opin­ion piece says Bri­an Kemp is GOP’s Best Bet for 2024 because Kemp won in a swing state and is top of Don­ald Trump’s dead-to-me list. Pence is not com­ing here for nothing.
